Workshops with Community Building Art Works
This month, I have two writing workshops with Community Building Art Works in partnership with the Stephen A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Easterseals and The Up Center.
On Tuesday, July 12th at 12 noon EST, we'll experiment with role-reversal: using photos as visual prompts, we'll inhabit the voice of the earth, sea, and sky to try on a different perspective.
If you're a regular, use the recurring link, or if it's your first time, register at cbaw.org/events
No experience needed - all are welcome!
On Tuesday, July 26th, we'll take inspiration from one of the 20th Century's greatest poets and write into a state of wonder at ordinary things.

Did You Say Something About a Book?
If you've been following me for the last few years, you know that I've put some work out into the world. Sometimes the publications come all at once, other times it's been a long time in-between publications. But, last year, I had enough material - and encouragement from literary friends - to put together a full-length collection of poems.
I'm excited to let you know that there there's a book out there on the horizon!
While I'm not going to say much more until it's press release time (stay tuned later this month), I can tell you that I have looked over the first galley and, whoa, it feels incredible to see years of work come together on the page!
I've got a long way to go before there's a book out there on shelves and in e-book form for people to buy and read. But, I'm excited at all the work that lies ahead, and I've got big plans coming in the next few months for readings, book signings, workshops, and other ways to share my words with the world.
A big thanks is in order to Middle West Press for believing in my work enough to take this journey with me.
I hope you'll follow me on this journey, too. If you're familiar with my work, you know I write a lot about war and homecoming. I hope you'll find that and more in this book, and I look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks!
